Prayer times are calculated using your device's GPS location and well-established astronomical calculation methods. You can choose between different calculation methods (e.g. MWL, ISNA, Egyptian, Umm Al-Qura) in the app settings to match your local convention.

Yes, the Qibla compass uses your device's built-in magnetometer and your last known location to determine the Qibla direction, so it works without an active internet connection.

NamazMate is free to download and use. The app includes ads to support development. All core features including prayer times, Qibla, Tasbih, calendar, and reminders are available at no cost.

Go to Settings within the app and enable notifications. You can customise alerts for each prayer individually, choose different adhan sounds, and set pre-prayer reminders. Make sure notifications are also enabled for NamazMate in your device's system settings.

NamazMate is available on iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play. We're constantly working to improve the experience on both platforms.

First, make sure location services are enabled for NamazMate. Then check the calculation method in Settings - different regions use different methods. If times still seem off, try switching calculation methods or contact us with your location details so we can investigate.
